Heykal has been deeply involved in electronic music since the late 1990s. Over the years, he has explored a wide spectrum of genres – from house, acid jazz and funky to breakbeat, jungle, drum & bass, techno, psytrance and neurofunk.

His musical taste was shaped by the club scenes of Berlin, Detroit and the UK. Today, his sound moves mainly between minimal, industrial techno, breakbeat, drum & bass and neurofunk.

For the festival, Heykal is preparing an industrial techno set – dark, energetic and uncompromising. After years of friendship, we finally have him with us!

And although he likes to call himself an “old geezer”, we’re definitely not buying it.
