Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio (ORE) is a Swedish music project that has, since its inception in 1993, tirelessly walked the fine line between beauty and darkness, between pleasure and pain, between death and life. Led by founder Tomas Pettersson and his “muse in arms” Rose-Marie Larsen, ORE have created a unique musical world they describe as “haute couture apocalyptic pop” – pop music for the non-conformist, infused with philosophical and provocative themes. Their work explores dualities such as creation and destruction, light and shadow, sex and war, love and indifference, transforming them into a harmonious and meaningful whole within their artistic universe.
Having started on the legendary Cold Meat Industry label, ORE quickly established themselves as one of the cornerstones of the European post-industrial scene, alongside acts like In Slaughter Natives, Raison d’Être, and Arcana. Over the years, they have collaborated with key figures in experimental music, while their live performances have become renowned for their intensity – a compelling fusion of theatricality, eroticism, philosophy, and apocalyptic vision. Today, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio remain a cult phenomenon, maintaining a loyal following worldwide and delivering deeply immersive live experiences that linger long after the final note.
