The band Jeden Kmen came to life as a part of an larger eponymous art project, that included music, photography, drawing and written word.
The project used all these media to portray a story of an imaginary orc tribe based of works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
The genre of the band could be described as Dark Tribal Folk with influences of eastern cultures' music as well as older creations of Mortiis, Za Frumi, or more recent Wardruna and Heilung.

The use of instruments, such as classical guitar, djembe, shaman drums, jew's harps, 5 different vocals including throat singing, as well as an electronic underlay, gave birth to the concept album Mlha ("Mist") which is accompanied by an animated video that tells the story of said orc tribe.
The band is currently working on new material with mystical theme.
